Ladies on the Championship Trail - Updated with Qualifier 2 results!

champ 2018Minto Ladies continued their Championship trail yesterday (13th May) when Qualifier No 2 was a component of Medal No 2.  The weather was excellent for golf and Mary Towers led the way with a net 75 putting her three ahead of Cherry Thom on 78.  Countback was required to separate Flora Kerr and Helen Cuthbertson in third place with Flora getting the nod.

There are two more championship qualifiers to come so get your entries in now.

The full results of Sunday's event are shown below.

I'll leave it to the Ladies to determine the allocation of scores to Silver and Bronze Divisions.  Ladies Championship seeding is based on the best scores in each Division from four Qualifiers.  The remaining Qualifiers are  Ladies Brooch [Wednesday 23rd May] and the Ladies Salver [Sunday 27th May].  Entries for both these competitions are open now. Just click the Enter Medals button and select the Competition you wish to enter.

Medals 1/1b, Championship Qualifiers 1/1b

Minto Ladies began their Championship Qualification recently when Medals 1 and 1b were played as qualifiers for the 2018 Silver and Bronze Championships.  The event was played between Sunday 22nd and Tuesday 24th April.  Sorry for the delay in bringing results to the website, but there's been a lot going on behind the scenes at the Golf Club which has taken priority.  The weather hasn't been ideal for golf recently with wind, rain and cold, sometimes interspersed with a dose of warm sunshine.  I can't remember what the weather was like two weeks ago, but twelve Ladies ventured out to produce a combined result where Lily Towers topped the leaderboard with an excellent net 68Anne Paterson came in second on 73 with Margaret Bland just one shot further back
